May 6-7 – Shirt signing on campus/girls may wear college decorated uniform skirts  
May 11 at 4 p.m. – Senior Dinner (Free tickets will need to be reserved at - coming soon!) 
May 12 at 1 p.m. – Powder Puff Football Game  
May 14 at 2 p.m. – Honors Convocation (new time! see below) 
May 15 at 11 a.m. – Baccalaureate Mass in BL Competition Gym (new location! see below)

3:00 p.m. – Graduates will begin gathering in the staging area at 2:00 p.m.

Each graduate will be provided with one free (1) parking pass. All other parking is $10.00 paid by the individual guest. The graduate parking pass can be used for the graduate or it can be given to the family of the graduate. Graduates can park in the Naaman Forest HS parking lot for free if they show the parking attendant their cap and gown.
The Culwell Event Center will not be implementing a ticketing system during covid restrictions.
Bishop Lynch High School graduates will be allowed a maximum of 20 guests per graduate.
Based on covid safety protocols, masks are required to be worn by all spectators and guests at all times while on the Culwell Event Center property. Please Note: Gaiter-style face coverings are not permitted.

The information below pertains to the 2021 BLHS Graduation Commencement Ceremony.
The 2021 BISHOP LYNCH HS GRADUATION COMMENCEMENT Ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, May 16, 2021
  • Curtis Culwell Event Center – 4999 Naaman Forest Boulevard, Garland 75040
  • The graduation will begin promptly at 3:00 PM
  • Graduates are required to be in the practice room by 2:00 pm
  • Please leave personal belongings (phones, car keys, purses, etc.) with family and not in the practice room
  • The graduation ceremony is a Ticket-Less event, but in order to maintain safety protocols attendance is limited to 20 guests per graduate.
  • Masks are required to be worn at all times on the venue property.
  • Please refer to the venue website for information regarding guest requirements
GRADUATION REHEARSAL is scheduled for Thursday, May 13 at Bishop Lynch High School
  • Rehearsal will be conducted in the Competition Gymnasium.
  • Rehearsal is from 10:00 – 11:30
  • Please dress appropriately for the Rehearsal – no shorts, tank tops, robes, flip flops, etc.
    • If you have questions about what is appropriate to wear, please contact the Operations Office.  214-324-3607 ex. 4360
  • Graduates are required to be at the rehearsal if they intend to participate in the Graduation Commencement.
  • Parking Passes will be distributed at Rehearsal ONLY – (please refer to Parking Passes below)
CAP AND GOWN deliveries were made by Jostens on Monday, April 26 to BLHS
  • If you did not receive your cap and gown, they are available in the Operations Office at BLHS.
  • The Operations and Logistics Office is located directly across from the Bistro.
  • Caps and Gowns are provided by Bishop Lynch and must be worn at the ceremony.
  • Each graduate is provided with a cap, gown, and 2021 tassel.
  • Tassels are worn on the right side of the cap, and upon graduation the tassel is moved to the left side of the cap.
  • Caps and gowns MAY NOT BE DECORATED or have extra materials attached to them.
  • Only BLHS-issued regalia is allowed to be worn, i.e., honors cords, stoles, medallions, etc.  Any regalia that does not reflect BLHS is prohibited. 
DRESS CODE for all graduates is important.
  • Males are required to wear a solid color dress shirt and solid color dress slacks under their gown.
  • Males are required to wear a tie.
  • Males are required to wear dress shoes.
  • BL policy prohibits male students from having facial hair.
    • PLEASE NOTE: Taking into consideration the current pandemic requirement of masks being worn at all times, BL will permit male students to have facial hair provided it is covered entirely by their mask.
  • Male earrings are NOT PERMITTED
  • Females are encouraged to wear skirts or dresses of appropriate length under their gown.
  • Females may wear shoes with heels, but please be aware of the numerous stairs, ramps, and concrete floors throughout the venue.
PARKING PASSES will be provided to graduates.
  • Each graduate will receive one free parking pass provided by BLHS.
  • Graduates ONLY may park at the Naaman Forest HS parking lot (directly beside the venue) without charge.
  • Graduates must show their 2021 BLHS ID and their cap and gown to park at the high school without charge.
  • The free parking pass may then be given to family.
  • All vehicles without a parking pass will be charged $10.00 by the venue.
  • There are no additional parking passes available.

To best honor the Class of 2021, colleges will be listed under the graduate’s formal name in the graduation program, in lieu of announcing during the ceremony. We hope providing this information via print will create a more robust memento for our graduating Friars!
