Dance

The Dance Department at Bishop Lynch features classes for a variety of abilities - from Intro to Dance to Choreography. Dance classes are one semester in length, and count for 1/2 credit. A recital is performed at the end of each semester, featuring the work of the dance students.

The dance teacher, Allison Elliott, has been dancing for 24 years, studying ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, and pointe, while also competing with award winning jazz and pointe companies at Rowlett Dance Academy. Allison is a proud member of the Bishop Lynch Class of 2001. During her time at BL, she was a line member on the BL Brigade and acted as a Lieutenant her senior year. She attended Kilgore College where she graduated with an Associate of Arts degree majoring in Dance and continued on to the University of North Texas where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in General Studies.

Ms. Elliott is currently in her tenth year at BL teaching dance classes and serves as the Head Coach and Choreographer of Brigade. She has choreographed for the Harmony Show Choir, organized pep rallies and is the club moderator of the Friar Fanatics. Four years ago she was honored with the Athletic Special Assistant Award. Allison is a charter member of the DefiANCE dance company and performs around the Metroplex.
