Congratulations Mrs. González!

Social Studies Teacher Elizabeth González was selected to serve as a Group Leader for the Trans Atlantic Outreach Program this summer. As group leader, she led 12 educators from the US and Canada on a professional development seminar in Germany. The program was founded in 2002 to increase the understanding of contemporary Germany and the European Union, and equips teachers with information and resources to increase students' global competency. Participants visited schools, businesses, government offices, non-profits and civic organizations as well as historical sites and museums in Frankfurt, Würzburg, Leipzig and Berlin.

Mrs. González is happy to bring back all that she learned to the classroom for BL students and looks forward to sharing more of these opportunities with the greater teaching community!
