Sophomore Filmmaker Jay Potaraju Awarded Top Honors
Bishop Lynch sophomore Jay Potaraju spent an exciting weekend at the Raleigh Film and Art Festival on Oct. 4-6, where the short film he directed, "The Fork," was awarded the top prize for High School Short Film. Jay had the opportunity to meet fellow directors and producers and experience his film shown to a large audience for the first time.
Jay wrote and directed "The Fork," which tells the story of a distant father and son trying to reconnect through the game of chess, and he worked with actors and videographers to bring it to life.
Looking to the future, Jay hopes to continue pursuing filmmaking and has other scripts already in the works.
Congratulations, Jay!
