Congratulations to these seven Bishop Lynch student-athletes on signing to play and continue their academic career at the next level. Bishop Lynch had a ceremony this morning to celebrate Godswill Giadolor, Jordan Hooks, Ben McLean, Luis Moreno, Patrick Washington, Grayson Wise, and Seb Yervasi.
Godswill Giadolor - Football, Texas A&M University-Commerce
Giadolor played two seasons on the Bishop Lynch football program, primarily at running back. In his junior season, he rushed the ball for 1,102 yards and eight touchdowns leading to TAPPS First Team All-District and TAPPS Second Team All-State honors. In his senior season, Giadolor rushed for 699 yards and 12 touchdowns, leading to a TAPPS Honorable Mention All-District honor. He finished his career averaging 100.1 rushing yards per game with 1,801 total yards and 20 total touchdowns.
Jordan Hooks - Football, Sul Ross State University
Hooks was a three-year member of the Bishop Lynch varsity football team, playing both offensive and defensive line. In his junior year, Hooks started every game on the offensive line leading him to a TAPPS Second Team All-District honor. In his senior year, Hooks recorded 50 tackles, 7.0 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks on his way to earning TAPPS First Team All-District and TAPPS Second Team All-State honors.
Ben McLean - Baseball, The College of Wooster
McLean is a four-year member of the Bishop Lynch varsity baseball team primarily playing at catcher. He has played in a total of 100 games for Bishop Lynch and has a career hitting average of .314 with 82 hits, 57 RBIs, 19 doubles, three home runs and 31 runs scored. In his sophomore season, McLean was awarded TAPPS First Team All-District and TAPPS First Team All-State. His junior year he was named TAPPS Defensive Player of the Year and TAPPS Second Team All-State.
Luis Moreno - Football, McNeese State University
Moreno was a two-year member of the Bishop Lynch varsity football program, primarily playing offensive line. His senior year, he helped the offense rush for 1,785 yards and pass for 2,459 yards while averaging 27.3 points per game. Moreno was named TAPPS Honorable Mention All-District his senior season.
Patrick Washington - Football, Texas A&M University-Commerce
Washington played one season for the Bishop Lynch football program, primarily at wide receiver. This year, Washington finished with 31 receptions, 453 yards and five touchdowns while also rushing 15 times for 100 yards and two touchdowns.
Grayson Wise - Baseball, East Texas Baptist University
Wise is a three-year member of the Bishop Lynch baseball program, primarily playing second base. He has played a total of 52 games for Bishop Lynch and has a career hitting average of .310 with 39 hits, 30 RBIs, six triples, five doubles, 43 runs, and 31 stolen bases. In 2023, Wise had the third most triples (5) in a single-season for BL and the fourth most stolen bases (28). He was named TAPPS Honorable Mention All-District in 2023 as well.
Seb Yervasi - Track and Field, Texas A&M University-Commerce
Yervasi is a three-year member of the Bishop Lynch track & field team, primarily throwing shot put and discus. In 2023, Yervasi finished in second place in the shot put at the TAPPS 6A State Meet with a throw of 47-09.75. In 2022, he helped the men's track & field team win the TAPPS 6A North Regional Championship.
