Friars Take First at Raider Legacy Invitational

The Bishop Lynch Mock Trial team delivered an impressive performance this past weekend at the Raider Legacy Invitational Tournament, hosted at Texas Tech University in Lubbock.

The Raider Legacy Invitational is part of a series of competitive mock trial events where high school teams from around the region come together to refine their advocacy skills, apply courtroom strategies, and compete in simulated trials judged by legal professionals. Mock trial invitational tournaments like this one provide valuable real-world experience and preparation ahead of regional and state championships. This year’s tournament drew a strong field of teams from several schools, each demonstrating excellent courtroom poise and teamwork.

"This was our second year participating in this tournament, and the growth from last year to this one was undeniable," said coach Elizabeth González. "Competing against ten teams across three challenging rounds on Saturday, our students rose to the occasion and earned a well-deserved win."

A special congratulations goes to sophomore Jordana Collins, who earned the Best Attorney Award for her outstanding advocacy, legal reasoning, and persuasive presentation in the courtroom. Congratulations to the whole team on taking first place at the Raider Legacy Invitational. Your hard work, dedication, and teamwork paid off in a big way!
