Friars Learn, Connect, and Explore

After a wintry week of online learning, Bishop Lynch students dove right back into opportunities to connect with one another and expand their intellects. Tuesday evening’s Leyden Lecture Series featured Texas blues-rock artist Ally Venable, whose chart-topping hits are known for their gritty vocals and technical guitar work. A gifted entertainer and storyteller, Ally shared her inspiring journey from singing in church at the age of four to performing on stages across Europe.

Launched in 2012, the Leyden Lecture Series engages intellectual curiosity by bringing a diverse showcase of distinguished scholars, activists and artists to the Bishop Lynch community. The next lecture for this calendar year will be on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
