Capping off a successful food drive benefiting New Friends New Life, the Girls for Change club hand-delivered the Friar family’s generous donations to the Dallas nonprofit this week! Students restocked the organization’s food pantry and took a tour of the facility with Vanessa Garnica Barker ‘11, who serves as the community engagement director for New Friends New Life.
New Friends New Life seeks to restore and empower trafficked and sexually exploited teen girls, women, and their children, and to promote awareness of the issue and its prevalence. Vanessa represented New Friends New Life as a presenter in the September Leyden Lecture focused on human trafficking, and Girls for Change was honored to continue Bishop Lynch’s involvement with such a vital organization!
