Five Friars Commit to Collegiate Sports on National Signing Day

Congratulations to the following five Bishop Lynch student-athletes on signing to play and continue their academic career at the next level. Bishop Lynch Athletics had a ceremony on February 5 to celebrate Bella AlamoCaroline EllisWill EstesPete Mulligan, and Luke Sokolovic.

Bella Alamo - Soccer, Houston Christian University
A four-year letterwinner for the Bishop Lynch women's soccer program, Alamo has compiled an impressive list of achievements. She was named TAPPS First Team All-State (2023), First Team All-District (2023), Second Team All-District (2022), and was selected to the 6A All-Tournament Team last season. In her senior year, she has set career highs with 19 goals and 17 assists, helping the Friars to a 12-1-1 record so far this season.

Caroline Ellis - Swimming, Centre College
Ellis has been a key member of the Bishop Lynch swimming program since her freshman year. She has qualified for the state meet every year and helped the Friars win two state titles over the past three seasons. This season, she once again qualified for the state meet and aims to win the third state championship of her career.

Will Estes - Football, Northeastern State University
Estes was a four-year member of the Bishop Lynch football program, excelling on both sides of the ball. Throughout his varsity career, he amassed 1,765 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns on offense while recording 116 tackles and two interceptions on defense. This past season, Estes rushed 194 times for 1,462 yards and 19 touchdowns. His honors include: TAPPS First Team All-State Running Back (2024), TAPPS Second Team All-State Running Back (2023), TAPPS Honorable Mention All-State Linebacker (2023), TAPPS First Team All-District Running Back (2023, 2024), and TAPPS Second Team All-District Linebacker (2023). Estes was a team captain in 2024.

Pete Mulligan - Baseball, Brookhaven College
Mulligan is a two-year letterman for the Bishop Lynch baseball team. Last season, he appeared in 15 games as a utility player and made the most of his opportunities. He turned five at-bats into two RBIs and recorded eight runs and one stolen base. This season, Mulligan is off to a strong start, collecting two hits in the first two games and scoring two runs.

Luke Sokolovic - Navarro College
A three-year varsity player for the Bishop Lynch baseball team, Sokolovic has been a key contributor each season. He holds a career batting average of .339, recording 30 or more hits in each of the past two seasons. Last year, he stole 37 bases, the third most in school history. His accolades include: TAPPS First Team All-State (2024), TAPPS Second Team All-State (2023), and TAPPS First Team All-District (2023, 2024).
