Dine & Dialogue Honors Hispanic Heritage Month

Dine & Dialogue Honors Hispanic Heritage Month

Our first Dine & Dialogue of the year celebrated Hispanic culture through song, dance, poetry, and food on Wednesday. Students from the BL Belonging Board and Spanish National Honor Society hosted the event in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, which is observed annually from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15.

Highlights from the evening included a parade of flags from Spanish-speaking countries showcasing Latinos Unidos members in traditional dress, a vocal performance of "Cucurrucucú Paloma" by senior Hailey Espinosa, a folklorico dance by Carolina Ramírez, and a delicious dinner with flavors from all around the "Mundo Latino".

Thank you to Dayany Peredo '10Christian Tellez '08, and Mariana Peterson for an engaging panel discussion about careers, faith, and the Latino experience!
