Championship Conversations Series Launches with Recruiting Roadmap Discussion

Bishop Lynch Athletics welcomed parents, student-athletes, and faculty on Wednesday morning for the first Championship Conversation session of the 2026-27 school year. The quarterly series is designed to equip Bishop Lynch families with practical knowledge, trusted perspectives, and meaningful connections on issues that shape the complete student-athlete experience.

The inaugural session, "The Recruiting Roadmap: What Student-Athletes and Families Need to Know to Navigate the Recruiting Process with Clarity, Perspective, and Purpose," was led by Coach Broderick Sublet, Bishop Lynch football defensive coordinator and recruiting specialist. Through an interactive discussion, Sublet provided families with a practical overview of the recruiting journey, emphasizing the importance of starting early, creating quality highlight films, understanding college coaches' expectations, and recognizing that academics, character, communication skills, and athletic performance all play critical roles in recruitment.

"Our hope is that our student-athletes and families leave knowing they do not have to navigate this journey alone," said Director of Athletics Alex Cantillo. "With the right support, intentional preparation, and a strong team effort, there is a place for every athlete who hopes to play at the next level."

Championship Conversations will continue throughout the school year as a resource for families seeking guidance on recruiting, performance, wellness, leadership, character, and long-term development. The next session will be held on Nov. 18. It will feature Bishop Lynch team dietitian Hannah Eboagu, who will lead a discussion on nutrition strategies for optimal athletic performance and navigating the holiday season with confidence and balance.
