Bishop Lynch seniors Cade Hicks and Bailey Sanders were elected lieutenant governors at Texas Boys State and Texas Girls State, respectively, after being nominated by Bishop Lynch to attend the prestigious leadership programs.
Sponsored by the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary, Texas Boys State and Texas Girls State provide students with an immersive experience in government, leadership, and civic engagement as they participate in a student-run state government.
Both students will continue to lead on the Bishop Lynch campus this fall. Sanders will serve as Frassati House captain, while Hicks will return for a second year as Ricci House captain, continuing to mentor students and foster community through the House System.
Their selections and elections reflect the leadership, character, and commitment to service they have demonstrated both at Bishop Lynch and among their peers across Texas.
