Bishop Lynch Senior Selected for Broadway Dallas Performance Ensemble

Bishop Lynch High School senior Camryn Ross has been chosen as a member of the Broadway Dallas High School Musical Theater Awards (HSMTA) Performance Ensemble, a new initiative that will represent Broadway Dallas in performances at community gatherings, donor receptions, and special events throughout the year.

Camryn was selected through a highly competitive audition process that drew over 250 student performers from across North Texas, with selection based on stage experience and an audition of two songs. Bishop Lynch is one of 80 schools that participate in the Broadway Dallas HSMTA program.

A dedicated member of Bishop Lynch’s Blackfriars troupe since her freshman year, Camryn has performed in The Wedding Singer, played Cady Heron in Mean Girls: High School Version, and most recently starred as Roxie Hart in Chicago: Teen Edition.

“I love participating in musical theater performances at Bishop Lynch and HSMTA because of the community,” shared Camryn. “The people involved in the Blackfriars program and HSMTA are some of the most genuine and hardworking people I’ve had the privilege of working with. Being able to perform with these people brings me so much joy, and there’s no better feeling than being able to share what we create together.”

The Bishop Lynch Fine Arts program showcases student talent through a fall one-act play and a spring musical each year, with auditions open to all students. Bishop Lynch is proud of Camryn’s achievement and celebrates the many ways our Fine Arts students shine on and off the stage!
