Bishop Lynch Names Class of 2026 Top Scholars

Bishop Lynch High School is proud to announce the senior students whose academic records have earned the highest honors for the Class of 2026. This year’s class celebrates Valedictorian Oliver Maceda and Salutatorian Keeran Ong. Through their outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to excellence, Oliver and Keeran exemplify the mission of Bishop Lynch and serve as role models for their peers and the greater community.

Oliver Maceda, Valedictorian
A graduate of St. Pius X Catholic School, Oliver has embraced every opportunity to challenge himself academically and lead with purpose at Bishop Lynch. As a four-year member of the TAPPS Academic Team, he earned both individual and team distinctions in mathematics and academic competition, while serving as vice president of the Science National Honor Society and captain of the Frassati House Mentor Group. His involvement in Mu Alpha Theta, the National Honor Society, the Spanish National Honor Society, and the Bishop Lynch Ambassadors, along with his nomination to attend the HOBY Youth Leadership Conference, highlights his commitment to scholarship, leadership, and service.

Oliver remains undecided on his college choice and plans to pursue a degree in biochemistry.

Keeran Ong, Salutatorian
Keeran has built an impressive legacy at Bishop Lynch High School by combining intellectual talent with competitive excellence and meaningful service. A Siena House member and graduate of Holy Trinity Catholic School, he helped lead the Bishop Lynch  esports program to four state championships, serving as vice president of the Gaming Club and contributing to a top-eight national finish during his freshman year. Beyond competition, he invested in the community as a House chaplain and mentor, volunteered with Feed My Starving Children, and shared his skills by supervising younger students at an esports summer camp.

Keeran will continue his academic journey at the University of Texas at Austin, where he will major in computer engineering.

Congratulations to Oliver and Keeran on this well-deserved recognition and on their bright futures ahead.
