AP Expert Shares Exam Insight

Students and faculty at Bishop Lynch High School were afforded an exceptional opportunity last week—a deep dive into AP testing success with Dr. Craig Miller, chief reader for the AP World History Exam. As the expert responsible for the exam's design and scoring, Dr. Miller offered rare insight into the skills and strategies that distinguish high-achieving students.

Dr. Miller led a college-style lecture that incorporated a variety of source documents, enabling students to practice the skills necessary for the AP exam. The lecture concluded with a Q&A session, during which students asked thoughtful questions about how to best prepare for the test.

In the afternoon, Dr. Miller facilitated a workshop for 27 AP teachers from across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, sharing best practices for AP World History instruction and exam preparation techniques. Thanks to Mrs. Amy Wheeler and Mrs. Pam Malouf for maximizing our students' academic potential through this unique opportunity!
