Giving Thanks

Giving Thanks

By Jim Urbanus

The calendar flips to November where we anticipate the beginning of the holiday season and the celebration of Thanksgiving with family and friends. It also allows us an opportunity to reflect on several recent events that focused on our alumni. We recently celebrated the 2022 Alumna of the Year, our first regularly scheduled in-person Homecoming alumni party since before the pandemic, class reunions, and a Mass of Remembrance to pray for all BL grads that have passed away over the years. These events provide the opportunity to reconnect and express our gratitude to all BL graduates.

Forever Friar is not just a tagline. It is on display daily. It lives and breathes. Your students will be Friars forever. Bishop Lynch is a tight-knit community as it always has been. The friendships your students forge here will last a lifetime.

As you give thanks for your blessings this month, please consider how you can continue your Bishop Lynch journey during – and beyond – your student’s high school years. Our Friar family’s gifts of time, talent and treasure is what makes our community so great.

The month of November is about giving thanks, and we are blessed in the BL community to have so much to be thankful for. The Bishop Lynch Advancement Department extends best wishes to you and your family.
