Celebrating Success: Bishop Lynch Athletics Continues Its Tradition on National Signing Day
BL swimmers celebrate signing day

This week, Bishop Lynch athletics celebrated National Signing Day by honoring the commitment nine of our Friar student-athletes who made the decision to continue their academic and athletic careers at various colleges and universities across the country. These Friars are now a part of a strong tradition and will join 81 Friar alumni currently competing at the collegiate level.

This commitment is a culmination of talent, sacrifice, discipline, and dedication by our student athletes over the course of their entire lives up to this point.

I believe the most beautiful part of signing day is the loud expressions of gratitude that are shared by our student-athletes to their parents, families, coaches, mentors and friends. And as loud as the gratitude is, the pride from our coaches to their student-athletes is just as meaningful.

Mr. Rebuck often shares a shortened version of Bishop Lynch's mission statement, it reads, "At Bishop Lynch, we believe in people and challenge them to grow and change their lives because we love them."

The signing day ceremony is one small example of how the mission Bishop Lynch is carried out through the ministry of athletics. Our coaches believe in our student-athletes and challenge them to grow physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally, because we love them.

God bless and go Friars!
