Bishop Lynch High School invites all moms of prospective students to our annual Moms' Tea and Tour this Thursday, Nov. 15 in the Bishop Lynch Bistro. Join us at 9 a.m. to enjoy breakfast and beverages as you gain insight into the BL high school experience from our administration and in-the-know Friar moms. You will also be given a guided tour of the campus to learn more about our academics and facilities.
Do you have events, communications, or philanthropic leadership interests? Or do you just love to share your pride for BL?We are seeking volunteers who want to advance the mission of Bishop Lynch High School.
Encourage Alumni Giving
Each year, more than 1,000 alumni support Bishop Lynch through the Annual Fund. You can help BL increase dollars raised as well as participation by contacting other alumni and asking them to join you in supporting the School. Outreach is conducted through a letter, phone, email, or a combination thereof. To help, contact the Advancement Office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Encourage Parent Giving
Each year, every parent is asked to support Bishop Lynch through the Annual Fund. You can help BL increase dollars raised as well as participation by contacting other parents and asking them to join you in supporting the School. Outreach is initially conducted through letter, with follow up made by phone and/or email. To help, contact the Advancement Office at email@example.com.
Engage with Students
Do you have the ability to judge a mock business plan for an Honors Economics student? Can you offer career advice to a budding computer programmer? Are you willing to share your journey from shy English student to published author? Bishop Lynch students love to hear and benefit from your real-world perspective in an area they love learning about and/or may be considering as a career. To help, contact the Advancement Office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Find Lost Classmates
At any one time, many Bishop Lynch alumni are “Lost” to BL. You can help these alumni reconnect with BL and with their classmates and other alumni by providing BL with their current address and other contact information. To help, contact the Advancement Office at email@example.com.
Host an Alumni Reception
Whether you live in Dallas or elsewhere, you can help Bishop Lynch connect with its alumni by hosting an alumni reception. These events generally take place in an alumna/us’ home or at a club, restaurant, or other venues with which he/she is familiar. BL takes care of inviting alumni in a particular area and collecting responses; the alumna/us takes care of refreshments for approximately 15-35 attendees. To help, contact Deb Jaska, Alumni Relations Officer: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Join an Event Committee
There’s a role for everyone, and an event that’s right for you. Whether you have a few hours to share, or can take on a leadership role, our events depend upon volunteer support and the proceeds support Bishop Lynch students and programs. To learn more about the events below, contact the Advancement Office at email@example.com.
Offer a Testimonial
You support Bishop Lynch; tell others why you do. Whether you are a committed annual fund, capital campaign, or planned giving donor—or all three!—BL could use your ‘voice’ to help others follow your lead. Testimonials can be two-to-three sentences or two-three paragraphs, and they are generally featured both in print and online. To help, contact the Advancement Office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Photograph Sporting Events
If you regularly attend and take photographs at Bishop Lynch athletic events, please share them with the School for use in publications and on the website. To help, contact the Advancement Office at email@example.com.
Provide Goods or Services
The Bishop Lynch Auction is the largest fundraising event of the year - with both a live and silent auction as part of the evening. Donate experiences, services, or goods to be sold to the highest bidder! There are also many elements to hosting alumni events - catering, centerpieces, music, food and/or beverage, which you could donate to help underwrite the event - if you can't personally attend an event you could still be instrumental to making it a success! To help, contact the Advancement Office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Adults who volunteer at Bishop Lynch in any capacity where they may interact with students or other children must participate in the Safe Environment Program. To be certified through the program, you must complete an annual training program and background screening.
