  • BL Student Competes in National Entrepreneurship Challenge

    Congratulations to BL Junior Anne Johnston. This past summer, Anne participated in the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship’s (NFTE) BizCamp at Seagoville High School in Dallas and teamed up with another student to create a business idea called Seat Buddy. Their product is a portable climate-control chair that can be brought to stadiums or open fields for concerts. Anne and her partner were the first place winners at BizCamp, and they earned the opportunity to compete at this month’s National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge in New York City. Congrats Anne! Your Friar family is proud of you!

    Alumni of the Year Recipients Honored at Homecoming Week Dinner

    Bishop Lynch High School’s 2018 Alumni of the Year recipients Lauren Shircliff Caton ’82 and Thomas G. Yoxall ’84 were honored at a special alumni dinner on campus Oct. 4 during Homecoming Week. Presented annually since 1990, the Alumni of the Year Award recognizes those graduates who’ve embodied the Bishop Lynch tradition and Dominican heritage of service to the community. Shircliff Caton, a dedicated Catholic school principal in Minnesota, and Yoxall, a decorated Dallas lawyer and BL board member, are very deserving of this year’s highest alumni honor.
