TAPPS ONE-ACT PLAY

BLACKFRIARS ADD NEW COMPETITION PLAY TO REPERTOIRE
Bishop Lynch High School’s talented actors will grace the stage for an extra production this school year. For the first time, Bishop Lynch will participate in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) one-act play category. BL’s John Athas will be directing the one-act play, and he has chosen The Robe by Lloyd C. Douglas. The play is based on the 1942 historical novel that explores the aftermath of the Crucifixion of Jesus, through the experiences of the Roman tribune, Marcellus Gallio and his Greek slave Demetrius. Auditions have taken place and the cast has been chosen.

The TAPPS competition will be held in November, and there will be public performances scheduled in the Blackbox Theatre. Bravo!
