Friar Junior Earns Eagle Scout Rank

Noah Gulley, a Bishop Lynch High School junior, earned his Eagle Scout rank from the Boy Scouts of America in the late fall of 2022. Noah comes from a long line of proud Eagle Scouts including cousins, uncles, grand and great-grandparents, and his father. He is a current member of Old Lake Highlands Troop 861 at Central Lutheran Church.

The culmination of the Eagle Scout rank is a project to benefit the community. Noah planned, raised funds for and organized scouts and friends to spend over 125 hours building large raised garden beds at Central Lutheran Church. These gardens benefit the New Roots Program sponsored by the International Rescue Committee. This program allows new immigrants to grow, prepare, share, buy, and sell local healthy foods in their community. Congratulations, Noah!
