Friar Faculty Receive Work of Heart Awards

Congratulations to Frank Brown and Katie Dorsey for each receiving a Work of Heart Award from The Catholic Foundation for being faithful, caring and dedicated members of the BL school community. Michael George,senior development officer for The Catholic Foundation, presented the awards at the April 28 faculty meeting.  
Mr. Brown is a longtime art teacher at Bishop Lynch who was nominated for being meek, righteous, merciful, pure, and humble. Mr. Brown’s nominator credited him with going above and beyond to prepare students for college scholarship and admissions portfolios.  
Ms. Dorsey is a BL theology teacher who was nominated for modeling the subject she teaches by being patient with students and providing counsel. She was recognized for inspiring her students with her everyday demeanor and actions.
