BL House System Roundup: November

This fall, the Bishop Lynch High School House System is serving as a much-needed social outlet helping to develop student leadership skills and camaraderie within our Friar family. While mentor group activities have been modified to adhere to COVID-19 guidelines, the BL House System continues to build community. Check out just a few of the following activities for November:

Thanksgiving Food Drive
Friendly food donation challenges are popping up between houses and mentor groups. The goal is to fill the large house boxes in the atrium with nonperishable food by Nov. 20 to benefit Catholic Charities Dallas.

Friendsgiving Feasts
The food was pre-packaged, and diners were socially distanced and separated by plexiglass, but the sentiment was the same. We are grateful for our Friar friends and give thanks for our many blessings!

Operation Gratitude
Several houses dedicated mentor group time to write thank-you letters to active-duty military, veterans and first responders in conjunction with Operation Gratitude. In all, 234 letters were mailed from the BL community to thank these heroes for their service.
Faithful to Catholic Tradition and to our Dominican heritage of scholarship and service, Bishop Lynch High School promotes the development of the total person by bringing together a diverse community in a rigorous, college preparatory environment where students are taught to strive for excellence, seek truth, and work for justice in the world. - Founded in 1963
