BL Community Gives Back This Holiday Season

Christmas will be brighter for many Dallas-area children thanks to the generosity of the Bishop Lynch High School community. This year BL held a toy drive to benefit WFAA’s Santa’s Helpers. In all, 452 toys were donated. Seniors Caleb Ajakaiye, Lillia Farlow, Alexis Martinez, Matthew Moore, Grace Rochester, Annie Stewart, and Josie Trent helped deliver the 24 big bags of toys. The BL bus was even featured on Tuesday’s 6 p.m. WFAA news broadcast during the Friars’ toy delivery.
Friars also donated approximately 400 wrapped shoeboxes filled with toiletry items, socks and encouraging notes and delivered them to The Stewpot for distribution to the homeless. Bishop Lynch is The Stewpot’s largest shoebox contributor.
Faithful to Catholic Tradition and to our Dominican heritage of scholarship and service, Bishop Lynch High School promotes the development of the total person by bringing together a diverse community in a rigorous, college preparatory environment where students are taught to strive for excellence, seek truth, and work for justice in the world. - Founded in 1963
