BL Parent Inspires with Faithful Dedication to Rosary
Did you know that since 2008 Bishop Lynch High School has hosted a monthly rosary in the Siena Chapel to pray for the BL community? For the last six years, BL parent Mary Huntress has faithfully led the Friar Friends Rosary on the first Friday of the month after the 7:45 a.m. Mass. Now that Mrs. Huntress’ youngest son Ryan will be graduating in May (she’s also mom to Jack ’14 and Anna ’17), she’s passing the torch to Krystal and Julian Rodriguez. Many thanks to Mrs. Huntress for her faithful dedication to Bishop Lynch and her devotion to the rosary.
Besides praying the decades of the rosary, this group regularly prays for the intentions of the BL community. Many lives have been touched over the years as this group has prayed for intentions such as traveler safety, alumni success, the health of our Friar family, and so much more.
All BL parents, staffulty and alumni are invited to attend the monthly rosary. The group meets for breakfast in the bistro afterward at the invitation of BL President Chris Rebuck. Please join us when we resume again Sept. 6.
“Prayer - A soul arms itself by prayer ... There is no soul which is not bound to pray, for every single grace comes to the soul through prayer.” - St. Faustina
