News Detail

Kristie Wainwright ’06 is a standout – both in the science department and throughout the school. Ms. Wainwright has been on staff at Bishop Lynch High School since 2011 and she currently teaches freshman biology, freshman honors biology and AP biology. Besides her classroom role, Ms. Wainwright is the moderator for the school’s Medical Society, Kindness Crew and Literacy Club and is a member of the BL Faculty Council.
As a leader on campus, Ms. Wainwright laid the groundwork for the student-run garden in the school courtyard and has attended Goethe Institut events both in Germany and the United States to learn about sustainability and green technologies. Her love for Bishop Lynch, passion for teaching and no-nonsense sarcastic wit make her an excellent champion of the BL House System.
Ms. Wainwright is a graduate of St. Mary’s University in San Antonio and is currently pursuing her master’s degree at the University of Notre Dame.
