Cynthia Dumas came to Bishop Lynch in 2012 and teaches American and British literature, as well as creative writing.  She received her Bachelor of Arts from The University of Texas at Austin and her Masters of Education from The University of Arizona in Tucson.  
She moderates the BL Habitat for Humanity Club where she helps students get involved with the local chapter by building houses, painting, and landscaping to improve the lives of hardworking first-time homeowners in Dallas, Texas.  
In her free time, she enjoys traveling with students on service-learning trips for Global Education through Bethel University, and teaching and practicing yoga.
