Beth Burau joined the Bishop Lynch High School faculty in 2003. Originally from Illinois, she moved to Dallas to teach as part of the University of Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education program. As BL’s German teacher, Ms. Burau (or Frau Burau as she’s affectionately known), shares her foreign language love with students while also serving as the school’s instructional technology coordinator.
Ms. Burau is a beloved teacher – and a lauded one – having received the Outstanding Teaching of the Humanities Award from Humanities Texas, BL National Honor Society Teacher of the Year and Teacher of the Year from the Notre Dame Club of Dallas to name a few.
Ms. Burau is a proud Notre Dame alumna – having received both undergraduate and graduate degrees from her South Bend, Indiana, alma mater. While at Notre Dame, Ms. Burau gained valuable house system experience through the school’s dorm house system.
Faithful to Catholic Tradition and to our Dominican heritage of scholarship and service, Bishop Lynch High School promotes the development of the total person by bringing together a diverse community in a rigorous, college preparatory environment where students are taught to strive for excellence, seek truth, and work for justice in the world. - Founded in 1963
