Follow the steps below apply to those who have previously been cleared through the Diocese of Dallas Safe Environment Program and are needing to renew training or add Bishop Lynch High School as a location.
If you have completed the program/training at another school/parish within the Diocese of Dallas, simply contact the Safe Environment Director at that location and request they add Bishop Lynch High School to your list of locations. You will then be able to proceed with the following steps to renew your training and receive an ID badge.
The Diocese is currently undergoing a transition in systems for our Safe Environment clearance process. VIRTUS is our new data platform. The following instructions are for RETURNING USERS previously cleared at another school/parish within the Diocese of Dallas and needing access to their
profile information from the old database.

This will cause a duplicate profile to be created.
1. Click the following link to access the VIRTUS website: www.virtus.org
2. Click on “Need Help Login” button
3. Follow the instructions to locate your record
4. When your record is located, you may change your User ID and password to log in.
Clearance Requirements:
- Current background check: Background checks must be renewed every 2 years. If your background check is outdated, please contact Valerie Guzman to prompt an acknowledgement request be sent to you upon your next login.
- Compliance training: All Bishop Lynch HS employees and volunteers must complete the following compliance training modules:
- “Recognizing, Responding, and Reporting Abuse” video and quiz
- “Slavery Out of The Shadows” video and quiz

- Current badge: Badges expire 1 year from the issue date. If you need an updated badge issued, please email a recent headshot photo to Valerie Guzman once all above steps have been completed.
