Safe Environment

Bishop Lynch High School is committed to providing our students and families with a safe environment. To achieve this, all employees and volunteers must be cleared through the Diocese of Dallas, Safe Environment Program. This program requires annual training, screening, and background checks.

Please see the steps below for new screenings and renewals.

New Families and New Employees

Follow the steps below if you are a new family or employee to BLHS or have never completed the Diocese of Dallas Safe Environment Program.

Please keep in mind that all steps must be completed BEFORE you can volunteer and receive an ID badge.

Step 1: Complete and submit the Screening Form. Be sure to provide email addresses and phone numbers for your references.
 
Step 2: Attend the online training and complete the 25-question exam. You will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the training. For planning purposes, the training will take approximately 90 minutes (about 1 and a half hours) to complete.

Follow the instructions below to access the training module
    • Login to the Safe Environment Program
    • Login using your first name, last name, and street address
    • Click on My Obligations (located in the menu bar at the top of page)
    • Select Standard Sexual Abuse Training (MinistrySafe) (located just below the list of classes you are required to take)

Step 3: Schedule and complete the face-to-face interview with the primary contact for the volunteer position/hiring manager.
 
Step 4: Email a recent headshot to j.leigh@bishoplynch.org when all the above steps are completed. Your training will be verified and then an ID badge will be issued.
 

Previously Safe Environment Program Cleared Volunteers and Employees

Follow the steps below apply to those who have previously been cleared through the Diocese of Dallas Safe Environment Program and are needing to renew training or add Bishop Lynch High School as a location.

If you have completed the program/training at another school/parish within the Diocese of Dallas, simply contact the Safe Environment Director at that location and request they add Bishop Lynch High School to your list of locations. You will then be able to proceed with the following steps to renew your training and receive an ID badge.
 
Step 1: Login to the Safe Environment Program.

Step 2: Click on My Obligations (located in the menu bar at the top of page).

Step 3: Update your contact information and then click on “Update Information and Continue” (located at the bottom of the page).

Step 4: Select a class from the section titled, “Classes Available to Take Online” to begin your training.

Step 5: A new ID badge will be issued upon successful completion of your online training. Email j.leigh@bishoplynch.org when all the above steps are completed. Your training will be verified and then an ID badge will be issued.
