About

BL at a Glance

Bishop Lynch High School provides academic excellence in a state-of-the-art institution, as well as arts and athletics to give students a top-notch education and exciting on-campus experience.

Our academic staff is fully invested in the mission of Bishop Lynch and aims to make a difference in the lives of our students, helping them succeed long after they have left our campus.

Bishop Lynch offers a long list of honors advanced placement (AP) and dual-credit courses. Our students earn more college credits than any other high school in the Metroplex — public or private. In doing so, our students and their families save thousands in college tuition fees.

  • Athletics

Bishop Lynch athletic programs have a reputation for excellence and have proven to be more successful than any other private school – and most public schools – in Texas. With 17 sports to choose from, our athletes compete against the highest level of competition in the state. BL teams and athletes advance to state competition every year with many receiving national recognition.
  • Christian Service

Whether inside or outside of school, BL fosters a caring and loving Christian community. Our tradition of community service is a point of pride as students performed more than 38,000 hours of charitable service in the last year, alone.

Our diverse student body completes four years of theological instruction and attends Mass together monthly, helping our students to grow to become servant-leaders by putting the values they learn into practice.
  • College Guidance

BL is a college preparatory school that strives to match each student with their best collegiate opportunity. Our outstanding guidance department plots a course for each student and helps them from the first day they walk through the doors up to graduation. Some of our recent graduates have gone on to attend the following institutions — American University, Baylor, Florida State, Harvard, Loyola, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Purdue, Stanford, SMU, Texas A&M, Texas, USC, Vanderbilt and Xavier.
