BISHOP LYNCH HIGH SCHOOL AQUATICS

CODE OF CONDUCT

I will not use illegal drugs or drink alcohol. Use of any illegal drugs or alcohol will be handled in accordance with policies and decisions rendered by the Office of Student Life.

I understand that this is a competitive interscholastic swim team. I will comply with the rules of conduct for meets and practices, which are:

I will attend the required number of practices. If I am unable to attend a practice or meet, my parents will contact the coaching staff via email at meagm@bishoplynch.org BEFORE that practice or meet.

Morning practice begins promptly at 6:00 a.m., and afternoon practice 10 minutes after the bus arrives. Anyone not in the pool on time will be considered tardy and will swim extra after practice at a time at the coaches' discretion.

I will stretch and warm up in an efficient manner as directed by the coaches.

I will arrive at the appointed time for all meets and practices if I am not traveling on the team bus.

At meets, I will warm up and warm down as directed by the coaches. This means the prescribed warm up before the meet, and warm ups and warm downs as available during the meet, including during breaks.

I agree at all times to give my best effort to attain the time goals assigned to me by the coaching staff.

I agree to participate with maximum effort in dryland workouts.

CLUB SWIMMERS ONLY: I agree, by August 31, 2009, to provide the following information to the coaching staff of the Bishop Lynch Swimming & Diving Team via email at meagm@bishoplynch.org

I agree to inform the coaches if I will not be returning to school on the bus after a meet.

No cell phone calls or texts made or received during a practice or meet.

The first violation of any of the above rules (except #1) will result in a two-day suspension. The days missed will be made up by the swimmer at the coaches’ convenience.

The second violation of any of the above rules (except #1) will result in dismissal from the team.

This code is to be signed by both the team member and his/her parents and returned to the coaches by August 31, 2009.
