TAPPS is offering online ticket purchases for Saturday’s state football game in Waco. Ticket prices are $10 for students and $15 for adults.

Men's Friar Basketball Coaches Update


The Friars had an awesome night here at BL last Tuesday night. They handed Ft. Worth All Saints three decisive losses.

The Varsity avenged a loss to All Saints last week in Ft. Worth by soundly defeating them 80-59. The Friars were led in scoring by senior Nick Freis with 27 points. Senior Chris Scaife had 15 points off the bench and junior Zach McManus had 12 points and a big game on the defensive end. The Friars travel to Houston on Thursday to compete in the Houston Christian Tournament. Their pool play games Thursday are at 2 and 6:30.  

The JV Friars won their game vs. Ft. Worth All Saints by a decisive 77-39. The JV Friars were led in scoring by Freshman Jake Milkereit with 19 points. Elijah Rodriguez had 12 points and Drew Grinbergs added 11 points. The JV Friars are back in action on Dec. 6th when they play at North Garland.

The Freshman Friars won their game vs. Ft. Worth All Saints by the impressive score of 57-27. The Freshman Friars were led in scoring by Andy Cardenas with 11 points. Austin Townsend and Akan Effiom each added 8 points. Andrew Schindel chipped in 7 points. 

The Freshman Friars are in action this Friday and Saturday at Nimitz High School in Irving as they compete in the Irving ISD Invitational Tournament.

The Men’s Basketball Coaching Staff and all three teams would like to wish the Friar Football Team much success in Waco Saturday evening. We know you are going to bring home a State Championship to BL!!! GO FRIARS!!!! 


Varsity: The Friar Varsity has a record of 6 wins and 3 losses. Over the Thanksgiving break they won the Ft. Worth Southwest Christian Tournament by defeating Dallas St. Marks in the Championship game, 55-32. The Friars most recent win was this past Saturday at BL vs. Denton Ryan High School by the impressive score of 57-48. The Friars play Ft. Worth All Saints on Tuesday night and then travel to Houston on Thursday to compete in the Houston Christian Tournament.  

JV: The Junior Varsity has a record of 6 wins and 1 loss. Over the Thanksgiving break they won the WT White Invitational JV Tourney by defeating the host team, WT White by the score of 55-52. The JV Friars play Ft. Worth All Saints on Tuesday and then are not in action until Dec. 6th at North Garland High School.

Freshmen: The Freshman Friars have a record of 3 wins and 1 loss. Their most recent victory came this past Saturday as they soundly defeated Denton Ryan by the impressive score of 51-28. The Freshmen Friars play Ft. Worth All Saints on Tuesday and then are in action this weekend in the Irving ISD Freshman Tournament at Nimitz High School.
