Bishop Lynch announces hiring of new athletic director

Bishop Lynch High School proudly announces the hiring of Shawn Halloran as the new athletic director for the school.

The Massachusetts native officially takes over for Andy Zihlman on July 24. Zihlman served as athletic director for the past 16 years.

"I welcome him here and I'll do everything I can to make sure the transition goes smoothly," Zihlman said.

Halloran comes to Bishop Lynch from Conroe ISD, where he spent the last four years as an assistant football coach, head powerlifting coach and physical education teacher.

Prior to his time in Conroe were stints at Splendora and North Forest High Schools after 20 years of collegiate coaching experience including Yale University, University of Pennsylvania, Georgetown University, Franklin and Marshall College and Boston College.
