2015 Volleyball Team Tryouts

The volleyball coaching staff is excited and ready for the 2015 season. Tryouts this year will take place on Monday, August 3. Sophomore team/JV tryouts are from 4:00-6:00 pm and Freshman team/varsity tryouts are from 6:00-8:00 pm All Athletic Department paperwork and IMPACT testing must be on file prior to tryouts. Please contact Coach Tricia Roos if you have any questions.

ECG Testing

Bishop Lynch and Cypress ECG are interested in conducting a second day of ECG screenings. Please notify Coach Hopper if you are interested in having your son or daughter tested. This date will be in August or September, TBD. We need to know how many people would be interested that couldn’t make it to this weekend’s screening.

Functional Pre-Participation Evaluation Research Study

We will be participating in the FPPE study out of Ohio State University again this school year. This research study is conducted in boys and girls basketball, boys and girls soccer, and football. We will conduct these screenings in the month of July and into the beginning of the school year. The FPPE is a simple movement screening that researchers are using to evaluate potential biomechanical flaws in athletes’ movement that may precipitate injury. This screening will take 15-20 minutes per athlete. We want to encourage all of our athletes in these sports to participate. More details will come out very soon. Learn more about the FPPE Project at Ohio State University at the following link:

Required Paperwork for Athletics

Please be aware of the paperwork requirements that need to be completed in order to be eligible to practice. If you have not completed this paperwork and have a current physical on file you/your son/daughter will not be allowed to participate in practice. Please address these things ASAP.

This can either be submitted via email (PDF please) or turned into us in the Field House Athletic Training Room. DO NOT GIVE THIS TO COACHES.
