Lady Friars lead most competitive district in TAPPS Div. I
There's no doubt where the best soccer in TAPPS Division I is played as District 1 boasts six Top 10 teams in the latest TAPPS Coaches Poll, led by top-ranked Bishop Lynch.
The Lady Friars (9-3-0 overall, 5-0-0 district) are ranked No. 1 for the second straight time, followed by district foes Ursuline (2nd), Nolan Catholic (3rd), Parish Episcopal (4th), Liberty Christian (7th) and TCA-Addison (9th).

Friars rout Liberty, make debut in TAPPS statewide poll
An offensive outburst Monday might have been what the Friar soccer club needed to get back on track, getting four goals to rout Liberty Christian on the road, 4-1.
Senior Will Gates notched a hat trick for the Friars (4-4-1 overall, 2-2-0 district), who sit fourth in TAPPS Division I District 1 with 10 matches remaining, all against district opponents.

Red-hot Friars set sights on playoffs, district title
They've already surpassed last season's win total, but now the Bishop Lynch Friars have sights set on the postseason as they head into the second half of the district schedule.
The Friars (22-7 overall, 5-2 district) won just 16 games a year ago and missed the playoffs, but this year's version is more experienced and certainly more driven to make a trip to the postseason, riding a nine-game win streak as they head to Sachse tonight for a non-district contest.

Lady Friars seek momentum heading into home stretch
The first half of Bishop Lynch's district schedule will come to an end today when the top-ranked Lady Friars travel to Ursuline, and a tight race to the finish could be on the horizon as the regular season enters the home stretch.
Bishop Lynch (20-4 overall, 6-1 district) suffered a setback last week, falling to Prestonwood at home to end an 18-game home win streak, but more importantly, giving the Lady Friars their first district loss.
