Due to the fact BA will only field two teams this year. Our white team will travel to Argyle HS and play their Freshman Team on Thursday, the 9th of September @ 5pm. Thanks for every ones understanding in this matter.

What a huge week for Bishop Lynch Football! Thanks to everyone for coming out to watch both Friar teams in action last week: the Black Team’s 35-6 win over Samuell at Berkner B and the Varsity’s season-opening win 35-8 over Samuell at Forester Field. Opening week is always a stressful one because no one really knows what to expect from our own team or from the opponent. Now that we are in the swing of things, life really shouldn’t get stressful again until…..Monday.

We have another big week ahead of us as we are returning to action at Roffino Stadium on a synthetic playing surface for the first time ever. The majority of the work was finished up last week and we are all looking forward to watching them drop in the goal posts on Monday. Once the goal posts are in and we do the walk-through with the company, the field will be certified for use and we hope to practice on it beginning Monday afternoon. For those who have been following the project closely, please note that the north end D-Zone will remain unfinished until possibly next week, as the field took priority in the construction process. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to Sportscapes Construction, led by Dan Hodson and Charlie Keane, who had crews working until 1:00 am most nights in late July and August to get back on schedule for this week’s games.

If you haven’t seen the field yet, I would suggest you wait until Thursday or Friday night when you can take in the sights, sounds, smells and revelry of game night in Texas at Bishop Lynch High School. Remember that field dedication ceremonies will begin approximately 7:15 pm on Friday, so please be in the stadium early and have your cameras ready for the re-opening of newly-renovated Roffino Stadium.

Team & Individual Photos

Team and Indovidual pictures will be taken Saturday, August 21st beginning at 9am. Players will pring home an order form the night before so that you can place your order with the photographers at the time pictures are taken. Please feel free to come out and take pictures of your son in uniform.
