Congratulations to the TPSMEA State Solo/ Ensemble contest participants who earned 1st Division "Gold Medals"; Sarah Archer, Velia Murillo, Jessica Villarreal, Ashley Fuentes, Lauren Rojas, Shannon Lotti, Frankie Medrano, Will Marx, Corbin Neuman, and Randy Peterman.

On Saturday March 2 the Bishop Lynch Color Guard participated in the North Texas Colorguard Association competition at Coppell High School. Competing in the Regional AAA category, the Friar Guard finished ahead of 6 other units, and narrowly missed 3rd place by less than a point. This year’s program is very innovative, and utilizes live musicians and compelling costumes, and received accolades from judges and spectators alike. Congratulations BL Colorguard!
On Saturday March 2 many members of the Friar Band participated in the T. P. S. M. E. A. Regional solo and ensemble festival at Greenhill School. The BL musicians earned 30 First Division “superior” medals for their various performances. In addition, 11 band members qualified for the State Solo Ensemble Contest which is held in late May. Congratulations Friar Band!
Congratulations to the Marching Band on their achievement of unanimous 1st division ratings at the TPSMEA State Marching Contest, and their achievement of Outstanding Musical Presentation, and runner up to State champion.
Congratulations to the Band and Guard for a wonderful performance in the nationally televised Children's Medical Center Holiday Parade.
Congratulations to All-State Band Members Frank Medrano, and Randy Peterman! Bravo on this accomplishment, and to all who submitted audition recordings!

Welcome to the Bishop Lynch High School Band home page. If you are a prospective student, please consider becoming a part of the dynamic band program at BL. Color Guard is an integral component of the band, and is available to all young ladies wishing to be included in an award winning performance team here at BL. There are many, many exciting things currently happening within the Bishop Lynch Band Program. From Marching Band to Concert Band to Jazz Band, and even to a Beginning Band Class which is specifically designed for students who have never played an instrument before, there is a place for YOU in the BISHOP LYNCH BAND!
If you are not presently in the Friar Band, and this sounds great to you, and you would like to learn more about being a part the wonderful things taking place within the Band Program, please contact me so that we can talk further about your interest in the BL Band.
