On Thursday, March 5 seventy-seven members of the Bishop Lynch A Capella Choir (along with a number of chaperones and family members) traveled to France for an exciting and memorable seven-day performance pilgrimage. The itinerary included stops at Bayeux, with a short recital in the Cathedral of Bayeux, followed by a visit to the beaches at Normandy. The students sang for mass at the Basilica of St. Thérèse of Lisieux on Saturday, then traveled to Chartres for a concert on Sunday evening at the beautiful Cathedral. Monday began in Paris with a visit to the Louvre Museum, followed by a performance at L'église Sainte-Marie-Madeleine. Tuesday included a trip to Versailles with a visit to the Eiffel Tower, then a concert at a local elementary school later that day. On Wednesday, the entire entourage ended their Parisienne experience with a visit to the Cathedral Notre Dame de Paris where the choir performed a brief concert. The trip was completed with an evening cruise on the Seine.
